It takes a lot of work to administer a safe, economical and ordered society with a great quality of living. Check out each of these departments to understand the capacity and function of your community’s municipal government administration.

Town Administration: This is the office that handles all the accounts payable and receivables, manages the day-to-day payroll and concerns of Town employees, and provides other administrative assistance to the Town corporation. The office also manages the affairs of your democratically elected Councillors, who themselves provide guidance to Town administration on direction and spending.

Town Administration is responsible for working toward creating an environment conducive to investment and economic growth via business attraction and retention activities, partnership building, tourism development, communications and business licensing.  The office is also responsible for ensuring that all new developments are structured and conform to regulations in order to protect the public and the community’s quality of life.

Public Works Department: This is the department that keeps the Town running by managing your publicly-owned gas services, road services, and water and waste water services. This department also takes care of your parks, and maintains your recreation facilities and other community assets.

Fire Services Department: This is your local volunteer Fire Department.
